Olympus is one of the few companies still making 35mm point-and-shoot film cameras, so it's fortunate that reviewers are fond of its product line (though we found few reviews for this specific camera). The Olympus Trip 600 is inexpensive, lightweight and compact; reviewers point out that it doesn't have a zoom or many other features, and it is really just one step above a disposable camera. One nice feature is the Trip's wide, 28mm lens, which is suitable for landscape shots or fitting a large group of people into the frame. If you'd like something more fully featured, reviewers praise the Olympus Stylus Epic (*est. $100), which is weatherproof and solidly constructed.
Not many professional sites or magazines review 35mm point and shoot cameras anymore, so we consulted user opinions about the Olympus Trip 600 and other cameras in the Olympus Trip lineup on retail and consumer-review sites, including Amazon.com and Epinions.com.
