Excellent to get rid of existing blemishes, March 7, 2009

I have tried, like other reviewers, to apply this under make up. I agree that it just flakes up and looks awful. I gave it 5 stars because I can put it on an angry pimple at night (or a red spot of broken skin where a blemish once was) and it dries it out really well by the morning! Sometimes so well that it is hard to tell there was one there the previous night. Or it shrinks it to at least a quarter of its size. I always have a stick in my make up case in case too many unwanted bumps appear and I can't wait the normal 3 days or so for them to disappear (esp around hormonal fluctuations). Therefore, I highly recommend this product for that purpose. It is like the little dots they used to make in a liquid form almost.

works well enough, November 7, 2007
Unfortunately, this product kinda dissapointed me. It didn't "smooth out" the pimple that much. When I put concealer over it, it just looked like i had dry, flaky skin there. Though I've only tried this once, so maybe it will work better the next time...?
this works, January 10, 2007
this works but it's no different than any other zit cream. i was hoping it was like those little sticker patches which they don't make any more but it wasn't. it works but it does really dry out the surrounding skin so be careful where and how much you put on.
Very disappointed, December 10, 2006

I was very excited when I saw this product because I thought it seemed like such a perfect idea. However, upon trying it I realized the description on the package is just a fantasy. It was almost impossible to apply make-up over this product, even when being very careful. It seems like a good idea in theory as it forms a second "skin" over the top of the pimple, but the "skin" just rubs off and breaks apart as you try to apply a cover-up. Using just a powder worked best for me, but it didn't conceal the pimple and there was still a noticeable difference in texture in the place the medication had been used. If that weren't bad enough, it started to peel away about an hour after application. I was at lunch with a friend and she said, "Eww... it looks like the skin on your chin is peeling off! What happened??" Not exactly the type of thing someone wants to hear announced in a public place. I also found that this product didn't last very long, I didn't want to dish out another $10 for another acne spot treatment so I went ahead and used the whole thing... but I never felt like it helped fight my breakouts. I'd probably have better luck putting a layer of Elmer's glue on my face. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it never made my skin break out worse and I never felt like it dried my skin it. It just didn't do anything really. Not recommended.
