In 2007, BOB introduced a sister model to its top-rated Revolution stroller (*Est. $313) , the compact BOB Revolution 12-inch AW (*Est. $399). Like the full-sized Revolution, the AW features a lockable 12-inch front wheel, durable welded frame, full canopy and quick, two-step fold. But at 12 inches, the AW's back wheels are noticeably smaller than the original Revolution's 16-inch back wheels. Reviewers say this means better maneuverability around corners and in tight spaces, as well as a smaller fold. Testers praise the stroller's ability to fold more compactly than traditional joggers, making it easier to stash in the back of a trunk or in a small closet.
One drawback of the smaller wheels, however, is that the rims and spokes are made of aluminum alloy similar to bicycle wheels. The original Revolution features rims and spokes made of high-impact composite polymer, which tends to be more durable. Reviewers say the AW's wheels will need to be adjusted over time, a problem not encountered by the more solid wheels of the Revolution. At 22 pounds, the AW is also slightly lighter than the 23-pound Revolution.
Most reviews of the BOB Revolution 12-inch AW stroller come from owners. Amazon.com features the most comprehensive comments, with JoggingStroller.com coming in a close second. This stroller doesn't appear on many best-of lists, and formal reviews are limited. StrollerReviewGuide.com and JoggingStrollerRatings.com offer fairly thorough evaluations, but don't say how the stroller was tested.

Like other user reviews, the 12 contributors to JoggingStroller.com say the BOB Revolution 12-inch AW features excellent maneuverability, can handle rough terrain with ease, and is easy to fold and unfold. However, several owners say there's a distinct curve in the seatback, which can be very uncomfortable for children. They also note that the seat doesn't have much padding.
