Reviewers says the Kelty Speedster Swivel-Deluxe is a good stroller for the serious urban runner, offering features common to high-end running strollers at a lower price. At $375, it's still not a budget purchase, but similar models can cost $1,000 and up. The Speedster Swivel-Deluxe offers adjustable tracking, 16-inch rear wheels and a 12-inch front wheel, which can be locked into place for jogging or swivel for daily use. It also includes a warning bell for use in congested areas and several storage options. That said, a few reviews say this stroller exceeds 4 feet in length, making it cumbersome to use in a crowd or tight walkways. It's also narrow, which is both good and bad: Some experts warn the stroller could tip if turned too quickly, while others say it's easy to pull over and out of the way of vehicles and other joggers.
A fully padded reclining seat and a sun/rain canopy offer added comfort for tots, while a runaway leash, reflective accents and quick-release wheels provide peace of mind for parents. A number of recent user reviews complain about quality issues with the handle and wheels. Several of these comments are on Kelty's own website.
ConsumerReports.org includes the Kelty Speedster Swivel-Deluxe in its latest roundup of stroller testing, rating each model on safety, maneuverability (both on and off-road) and ease of use. BabyGizmo.com offers the most detailed professional review of this stroller, and it earns a spot in Babble.com's 2011 best strollers roundup. Individual product reviews are also found at Running Times magazine and ParentDish.com. The Speedster Swivel-Deluxe is mentioned in the latest edition of "Baby Bargains," but it was too new at press time for ample feedback. Few owner reviews are available on this newer model, but we did find a handful of comments at Amazon.com, Buzzillions.com and Viewpoints.com.

This well-balanced review cites parent feedback, but it's not clear where their opinions were obtained. At about 4 feet long, the Swivel-Deluxe is said to be cumbersome for daily activities and tends to veer to one side, which is a common user complaint. The review indicates that the Swivel-Deluxe doesn't provide adjustable tracking, which the company's website says is inaccurate.
