Mountain Buggy Swift

Pros
  • Narrow
  • Large storage basket
  • Easy to maneuver
  • Smooth ride
Cons
  • Bulky when folded
  • Not suitable for intense jogging
  • Expensive

The Mountain Buggy Swift is perhaps the least talked-about model in the Mountain Buggy stroller line. In fact, reviews of this stroller are difficult to come by, but those that do exist are positive. The Swift is very similar to the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle (*Est. $382) and includes several of the same features: 77-pound weight capacity, large storage basket, cupholder and adjustable canopy with a sun visor. Yet the 21-pound Swift weighs 3 pounds less than the Urban Jungle and has a narrower wheelbase. Reviewers say it's better suited for parents who want a versatile, lightweight stroller that can still handle rough terrain. Because of its narrow wheelbase, however, the Swift isn't recommended as a jogger.

The most comprehensive evaluation of the Mountain Buggy Swift comes from BabyGizmo.com. We found another formal review courtesy of StrollerReviewGuide.com, but it doesn't clearly state how or when the stroller was tested. Very little owner feedback exists online, but what we did find is positive and praises the Swift's narrow yet durable frame.

2. JoggingStroller.com

3. Buzzillions.com

4. StrollerReviewGuide.com

StrollerReviewGuide.com features reviews of many of the top-selling and -performing strollers, but there's little transparency regarding who writes the reviews or how the strollers are tested. The Mountain Buggy Swift receives some positive remarks, but editors say parents should look elsewhere for a safer, more durable jogging stroller designed for that purpose.

LetsGoStrolling.com is a retail site for baby gear and strollers that also features some in-depth owner reviews. Here, an unnamed customer writes in to evaluate the Swift, calling it a "compact stroller with full capabilities." She also likes its ability to handle rough and snowy terrain.
