Sunbelt's CounterSpy is consistently named one of the top three anti-spyware programs. So far, Spyware Doctor (Discontinued) has been edging it out in reviews. According to users of previous versions, one advantage of CounterSpy, other than price, is that it's lighter on system resources than either Spyware Doctor or Spy Sweeper (Discontinued). If you prefer a full-featured suite, Norton Internet Security 2010 (Discontinued) has a highly rated anti-spyware component.

We found a short but balanced editorial review of Sunbelt CounterSpy 3.1 at Download.com. Softpedia.com also has a few user reviews. PCMag.com's Neil Rubenking and CNET's Robert Vamosi both have in-depth coverage of version 2.
