Experts say excellent malware removal capabilities, speedy scan times and a beautiful, intuitive interface make Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 the best antivirus software for this year. Kaspersky's Internet-assisted Cloud Protection, which keeps virus definitions up to date and takes over some of the processing during scans, is largely responsible for the improved speeds and detection rates. If you need a full-fledged security suite -- with a firewall, anti-spam, anti-phishing and more -- critics recommend Norton Internet Security 2012 (*Est. $70).
