Experts agree that Kaspersky AntiVirus is a powerful tool, a claim borne out by its high virus detection rates as measured by numerous independent labs. It also boasts some unique features, such as a virtual keyboard option to help foil keyloggers. But overall reaction is mixed. Reviewers report that Kaspersky AntiVirus 2010 lags a bit in performance (speed and impact on system resources), and that the user interface isn't the most intuitive. As a result, they tend to recommend Norton AntiVirus 2010 (Discontinued) as a more user-friendly program. Seth Rosenblatt's Download.com review of Kaspersky AntiVirus 2010 is complimentary of some aspects of the program, but doubtful of others. Rosenblatt likes its powerful detection and gaming settings, but is less impressed by Kaspersky's virtual keyboard, as well as by its price and performance.

The program pairs "a strong feature set with an at-times annoying user experience" that includes confusing pop-up messages.
