Independent testing labs consistently report that Norton catches more malware than the competition, while reviewers who judge user-friendliness state that Norton Internet Security is a well-rounded choice for non-techies (though users and reviewers note that Norton still has a way to go to improve technical support). A full security suite is a convenient way to get all the necessary protection in one installation, but experts say you can do just as well or better with separate antivirus, firewall and anti-spyware programs. Norton AntiVirus 2010 (Discontinued) and G Data Antivirus 2010 (Discontinued) are top choices for standalone antivirus programs.
