15-inch 2.4 GHz MacBook Pro *Est. $2,200 and up Compare Prices

PCMag.com: PCMag.com gives the latest edition of the 15-inch MacBook Pro an Editors' Choice award, though its review specifically addresses the less expensive 2.2 GHz version.

CNET: CNET gives the latest 2.4 GHz MacBook Pro rating of 4 out of 5 stars, but not an Editors' Choice award.

Laptop Magazine: The 15-inch MacBook Pro receives an Editors' Choice award from Laptop Magazine, though the site has not updated its reviews to cover the October upgrades.

Anandtech.com: AnandTech.com has one of the most detailed reviews of the February version of the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Computer Shopper: The 15-inch 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro (February version) scores an Editors' Choice award from ComputerShopper.com.

Macworld: Macworld gives February's 15-inch 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro a 4.5-star rating (out of 5). James Galbraith says it "is the model to look at if you're looking for the best combination of size and performance."

Engadget.com: Engadget.com gives the early 2011 version of the 15-inch MacBook Pro tons of praise.

PCPro.co.uk: Britain's PC Pro gives the early 2011 configuration of the 15-inch MacBook Pro a lower rating (4 stars out of 6) than most reviewers.

TechRadar.com: U.K.-based TechRadar.com gives the 15-inch 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro (since upgraded to a 2.4 GHz processor) a 4-star rating (out of 5). Ian Osborne says it is "the most capable MacBook Pro to date, and a real joy to use," although he'd like to see a faster optical drive and matte screen option.

SlashGear.com: SlashGear.com doesn't rate the early 2011 edition of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but Vincent Nguyen gives it a positive review.

Pocket-lint.com: Pocket-lint.com gives the 15-inch MacBook Pro an overall rating of 8 out of 10, though, like most, it looks at the early 2011 edition of the laptop.

Laptop Magazine: The 13-inch MacBook Air receives a perfect 5-star rating and an Editors' Choice award from Laptop Magazine.

PCMag.com: PCMag.com gives the MacBook Air a very good rating.

Computer Shopper: ComputerShopper.com gives its Editors' Choice award to the 13-inch MacBook Air.

CNET: CNET gives the 13-inch MacBook Air a 4-starrating and an Editors' Choice award.

Anandtech.com: Anand Lal Shimpi at AnandTech.com conducts the most extensive MacBook Air review around.

Macworld: Macworld gives the 13-inch 128 GB MacBook Air a 4.5-star rating (out of 5). Although he prefers the 11-inch laptops for their small size and low weight, Jason Snell says "the story of the MacBook Air is no longer about making severe compromises in order to use a small light laptop."

ConsumerReports.org: The 13-inch MacBook Air is among the laptops rated here.

Engadget.com: The 13-inch MacBook Air earns an overall rating of 9 out of 10 from Engadget.com.

TechRadar.com: The current 13-inch MacBook Air earns a 4.5-star rating (out of 5) from TechRadar.com.

Arstechnica.com: Iljitsch van Beijnum's review of the MacBook Air line is a multipage affair that's rivaled only by AnandTech.com's in terms of depth.

T3.com: While Rhiain Morgan's video review at this British site is fun to watch and quickly touches on the same highlights and lowlights mentioned by other critics, at only a minute and a half long, it doesn't provide much depth or detail about any aspect of the machine.

Laptop Magazine: Laptop Magazine gives an Editors' Choice award to the early 2011 version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

CNET: The 13-inch GHz MacBook Pro earns an excellent rating from CNET. Scott Stein is impressed with the performance improvements and lengthy battery life.

Computer Shopper: ComputerShopper.com gives its Editors' Choice award to the early-2011 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Anandtech.com: AnandTech.com says the 13-inch MacBook Pro is an excellent laptop.

Macworld: The 13-inch 2.3 GHz MacBook Pro (since upgraded with a 2.4 GHz processor) earns a 4-star rating (out of 5) from Macworld.

MacLife.com: MacLife gives the 13-inch MacBook Pro an excellent rating.

Notebook Check.net: NotebookCheck.net has a detailed review of the early-2011 13-inch MacBook Pro, and it culminates in a very good rating.

About.com: Tom Nelson, the Macintosh guide at About.com, gives the early-2011 MacBook Pro an average rating because it is not well suited to graphics-intensive applications.

TechRadar.com: Matthew Bolton at TechRadar.com says the 13-inch MacBook Pro has "desktop-class CPU power," and he's glad Apple made no changes to the excellent design.

Expert Reviews: Britain's Expert Reviews gives the 13-inch MacBook Pro a 4-star rating (out of 5), although Seth Barton tests the 2.7 GHz (now 2.8 GHz) model.

Amazon.com: The 13-inch early-2011 MacBook Pro earns high overall ratings from more than 200 owners at Amazon.com.

11-inch 64 GB MacBook Air *Est. $1,000 and up Compare Prices

Computer Shopper: ComputerShopper.com gives its Editors' Choice award to the 11-inch MacBook Air after conducting in-depth testing.

Anandtech.com: Anand Lal Shimpi at AnandTech.com takes the most extensive look at the MacBook Air line.

Macworld: Macworld gives the 11-inch 64 GB MacBook Air a 5-star rating.

21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac *Est. $1,200 and up Compare Prices

CNET: CNET gives the 21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac a very good rating.

Computer Shopper: The entry-level iMac earns an Editors' Choice award from ComputerShopper.com.

Macworld: Macworld tests all four configurations of the Apple iMac, and each desktop earns a 4-star rating (out of 5). James Galbraith says the 21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac "offers the most bang for the buck," although it is the only iMac configuration that won't let you upgrade to a larger hard drive.

PCMag.com: PCMag.com's Joel Santo Domingo assigns the 21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac a 4.5-star rating and an Editors' Choice award, despite being put off by the lack of ports and the limited size of the 500 GB hard drive.

ConsumerReports.org: The 21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac is among the laptops rated here.

TechRadar.com: "The switch to new second-generation Sandy Bridge processors and powerful AMD graphics give the new 21.5-inch iMac a massive performance boost over the previous generation," Ian Osborne says in his review of the computer.

Expert Reviews (U.K.): Kat Orphanides' review of the 21.5-inch 2.5 GHz iMac is short and light on details.

Best tablet computer

Apple iPad 2 *Est. $500 and up Compare Prices

PCMag.com: Tim Gideon at PCMag.com says the iPad 2 "easily wins" an Editors' Choice award in the tablet category.

Laptop Magazine: The iPad 2 also earns an Editors' Choice award from Laptop Magazine.

CNET: CNET also gives an Editors' Choice award to the Apple iPad 2.

Macworld: Macworld gives the iPad 2 a 4.5-star rating (out of 5). Like other reviewers, Jason Snell thinks it is not an essential upgrade for current users, but he says the tablet is faster and feels lighter than the previous version.

Engadget.com: Engadget.com gives the iPad 2 a high overall rating of 9 out of 10.

Computer Shopper: The iPad 2 scores another Editors' Choice award from ComputerShopper.com.

TechRadar.com: The iPad 2 scores a 4.5-star rating (out of 5) from Britain's TechRadar.com.

The Wall Street Journal: Like many reviewers, Walter Mossberg says current owners don't necessarily need to upgrade to the iPad 2.

The New York Times: David Pogue says the iPad 2 hasn't changed all that much from its predecessor, but it feels much different.

Chicago Sun Times: Andy Ihnatko at the Chicago Sun-Times says the iPad 2 remains the tablet to beat.

USA Today Magazine: Edward C. Baig at USA Today says the "iPad 2 is second to none." It still has drawbacks -- no Flash support and low-quality cameras -- but he says the iPad 2 is still a better tablet than its predecessor.

SlashGear.com: The iPad 2 earns a positive review from Vincent Nguyen at SlashGear.com.

TechCrunch.com: Even though the iPad 2 is facing tougher competition, MG Siegler at TechCrunch.com says Apple's tablet has pulled even further ahead.
