The Garmin nuvi 3760T is identical to the top-rated Garmin nuvi 3790T (*Est. $250) except for two things: It leaves out voice commands and 3D maps. However, real-world prices for these two units are about the same, and experts more often recommend the more full-featured nuvi 3790T.

Both have Garmin's sleek new smartphone-like form factor, sharp multitouch display, free traffic alerts for life (with pop-up ads) and car-to-pedestrian ability. Both can "learn" where traffic tends to jam in your area, as well as the types of routes you typically like, and pick routes accordingly. Neither connects to the Internet like the Garmin nuLink 1695 (*Est. $320) . Owners have mixed feedback for these new models; although some love their new Garmin nuvi 3760Ts, some complain that it shuts off unexpectedly or has other bugs.
