Mam Anti-Colic baby bottles, formerly called Mam UltiVent bottles, get excellent feedback from parents who have babies prone to gas and colic. The drawback is that there are six parts to disassemble, wash and reassemble for each feeding.
Mam went BPA-free several years ago and none of their products used for feeding children contain BPA. Although the Anti-Colic bottle has quite a few parts, none are small enough to present a choking hazard.
Mam Anti-Colic bottles have an unusual method of sterilization: You fill a cap with water, place the nipple in its ring in the cap, place the bottle on the nipple, put a cap on the whole assembly and heat it in the microwave. Reviewers say it's very easy to do and adds a level of convenience to the sterilization process. The pieces are also all dishwasher safe in the top rack.
There are six parts to the Mam bottle. Some say this makes it more difficult to disassemble and assemble; some say it's not hard at all and that the pieces do not get lost easily. Very few parents complain about leaks; those who do have difficulty assembling the bottle properly, which may be a function of its six parts. In fact, a number of parents say this is a great "on-the-go" bottle because it seals up so nicely with no leaks.
Parents say Mam Anti-Colic's vented design reduces air in the liquid, and their babies have no problem transitioning between breast and bottle.
There are four nipple configurations available, from stage one newborn to an x-cut for a faster flow. Some parents complain that due to the size and shape of this bottle, it is not as easy for their older babies to hold and doesn't fit in some sterilizers or cupholders in strollers.
Like most baby bottles, the Mam Anti-Colic gets mixed reviews for its advertised advantage, which is its anti-colic properties. Most parents love it and say it works great. Others say it didn't help at all or made their baby worse. If it works for your baby, it's the best there is, but it doesn't get quite as good, or quite as many, reviews as our Best Reviewed anti-colic bottle, Dr. Brown's Natural Flow (*Est. $15 for three 8 oz. bottles).

Most owners say it's the only bottle their baby will take and love the handy microwave sterilization feature.
