Where to Buy

The Playtex BPA-Free Drop-Ins Premium Nurser combines a disposable inner liner with a permanent nipple and outer bottle. The main advantage of this system, according to user reviews, is its convenience. Compared to the five-piece BornFree Bisphenol-A Free (*Est. $14 for two 9-oz. bottles), for example, or the tube-vented Dr. Brown's Natural Flow (*Est. $10 for three 8-oz. bottles), the Playtex Drop-Ins system is quick and easy to clean and assemble for each feeding. There are downsides, though.

For one thing, the disposable BPA-free liners make this system more expensive in the long run than standard baby bottles and some parents are uncomfortable with the extra waste they create. Breastfeeding moms do like the fact that the liners can store breast milk until it's needed, and many say their babies were less likely to experience nipple confusion when using the Premium Nursers. On the other hand, if you use formula, be aware that you'll have to mix it in a separate container. While the Playtex BPA-Free Drop-Ins Premium Nurser gets better reviews overall, some parents prefer a simple reusable bottle like the Wee-Go Glass Bottle (*Est. $15 for one 9-oz. bottle).

The Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Nurser gets excellent coverage from user-review sites. Online retailers Target.com and Amazon.com have more than 75 and 120 posts respectively. While there's no formal comparative testing associated with owner-written reviews, in practice many parents and caregivers have experience with more than one type of baby bottle and are able to offer some perspective on how different brands perform in relation to each other. Community review sites Viewpoints.com and ToysRUs.com both have a good number of entries on the Playtex Drop-Ins Premium Nurser, and Parents.com offers the best objective professional feedback.
