Similac SimplySmart bottles are made to thoroughly mix formula (which does not have to be Similac brand) right inside the bottle, with no clumping and reduced foaming. There is a mixing device that stirs the formula inside the bottle simply by swirling the bottle in your hands. It comes with a naturally shaped nipple and features a venting system.
The Similac SimplySmart bottle has few removable parts making it simple and safe to use. It is made of BPA-free plastic.
Although it's a modern design, the Similac SimplySmart bottle has only a few components and is easy to assemble, disassemble and clean. In addition, the cap has a blue triangle that indicates when it is fully locked in place to prevent leakage. However, a couple of reviewers said they had problems with leaking. All components are dishwasher safe on the top rack.
The Similac SimplySmart bottle is super-convenient for moms who use formula because its mixing unit gets great reviews. It also reduces the foaming effect of mixing formula, which speeds up the process of preparing a bottle -- a plus when you have a hungry baby waiting.
A few reviewers complain about the cost, but it's actually at the lower end of the price point for comparable bottles. A low flow nipple is included with each Similac SimplySmart bottle, and four nipple configurations are available: slow flow, medium flow, fast flow and Y-shape for cereal feeding. The nipple shape gets good reviews from parents who switch between breast and bottle. It also has a venting system to cut down on air intake. The bottle itself has an hourglass shape that parents say is easy for their baby to hold.
The Similac SimplySmart bottle is designed for parents who formula feed -- it's a quick, convenient way to mix formula. That said, a number of reviewers who use both formula and breast milk also use this bottle and like it for both purposes. If you find mixing formula a pain, this may be a good bottle to try.
The Similac SimplySmart bottle gets mixed reviews, with more than 40 owners giving it an average rating of 3.7 stars out of 5. It gets raves for its mixing feature, but there are many complaints of leaks.

This mother likes the fact that the nipple works well for stopping nipple confusion, and also likes the triangle on the top of the bottle that shows the top is locked on the bottle. The easy-mix component also is a positive feature, and keeps the formula and water mixed well together. However, she notes that there are some leakage issues where the nipple fits with the cap.
