The Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker seems like a great idea: Blend and puree without having to stand over it! It has a larger capacity than average, performs extra functions, and is reported to puree and steam well. Although a number of users say parts malfunction routinely, customer service is responsive, so if automated cooking is a must, you may want to give it a shot.
Results in smoothly processed foods. The Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker steams and purees food well, according to nearly all reviewers, who say the results are very smooth. We find no complaints of this unit taking a long time to steam, as is the case with some competitors. However, as with most baby food makers, many owners find that the food prep bowl is too small, even though the Baby Brezza's 2-1/2 cup capacity is larger than most. While it also defrosts and reheats food, most users don't comment on how well it does so.
Not easiest assembly, but simple to use. Once it's assembled, using the Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker is effortless, say owners, but it can be difficult to get there. Some say it's hard to get all the parts locked into place, although it gets easier with practice. When cooking's done, several users say it's very difficult to dislodge the blade. Maintenance is relatively simple: Just run the steam function with a vinegar solution to clean out the water reservoir.
Two thumbs down. There are numerous reports of the Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker breaking straight out of the box or after only a short period. Its saving grace is that most customers find Baby Brezza's customer support to be very helpful, even sometimes replacing parts outside of the one-year warranty. Several say the drive shaft breaks routinely; others complain that the enamel in the reservoir flakes, or the blend function engages randomly during the steaming process.
Review Credibility: Very Good The Baby Brezza attracts more than 200 reviews here and averages 3.2 stars out of 5, with many owners saying it broke shortly after purchase and sometimes straight out of the box. Many complain that after a call to customer service, they discovered the drive shaft didn't work. Despite these flaws, most report that the product was replaced with little to no hassle, but they still wouldn't buy it again. However, the majority of users say the Baby Brezza steams and purees well.
