Food Mills
by Contributors to Amazon.com
Our AssessmentAmazon.com offers more than 100 baby food mills and all-in-one baby food makers, but they're grouped together with some baby foods and other feeding utensils. Regardless, products receive lots of user feedback, often from more than 50 owners. The top-rated food maker and food mill are the Baby Chef Ultimate Baby Food Maker and the Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill, respectively, with each getting about 4 stars out of 5.

Making Baby Food at Home: Gadgets That Get the Job Done
by Brandi Wecks
Our AssessmentWecks names the best tools for making baby food in three categories: food mills, blenders and all-in-one baby food makers. It's not clear whether she personally tests these units, but she does explain the best uses for each and lists the benefits of their available features.

Best Baby Food Processor
by Kimberly Finnell
Our AssessmentBestcovery.com lists five "best picks" along with one No. 1 best product, the Baby Chef Ultimate Food Maker. While Bestcovery.com reviews typically reflect those found elsewhere like at Amazon.com, it sounds like Finnell tried the Baby Chef unit. However, the other baby food maker write-ups seem to duplicate others' evaluations, so it's hard to say conclusively that the Baby Chef truly deserves the top spot.

Finding a Baby Food Maker That Is Right for You
by Jennifer White
Our AssessmentWhite lists several baby food makers as well as their pros and cons. Although she seems to find the Beaba Babycook the most appealing, the pricier Baby Chef Ultimate Baby Food Maker has a larger capacity and also warms bottles. The Kalorik Baby Gourmet is slightly less expensive and also sanitizes pacifiers, but has a smaller capacity. The First Years Babypro All-in-One costs the least but doesn't defrost or reheat food, and the Baby Brezza One Step is the only model that functions on a timer.

Cooking for Baby
by Contributors to Williams-Sonoma.com
Our AssessmentWilliams-Sonoma.com customers offer hundreds of reviews for the Beaba Babycook Baby Food Maker, and they're nearly all positive. However, the site offers a limited selection of products and only one baby food maker from another brand. The Beaba Pro and Beaba Pro 2X baby food makers are also available, but they don't receive nearly as much user feedback.

3 Cool Tools for DIY Baby Food
by Molly Balint
Our AssessmentIn this short post, Balint says all-in-one baby food makers can be very useful, but baby food can also be made with simpler tools like an in-microwave steamer and the Oxo Tot Baby Food Mill. She calls the Oxo "the most similar" to the unit she uses in her own kitchen and likes that it comes with several different grates. Although it's pricey, she says parents will use it well beyond the months when they make their own baby food.

Baby Feeding
by Esther Garfield
Our AssessmentThe author of this blog and guide to the best in baby products has considerable experience but appears to do no formal comparison testing; products are only evaluated in her home and generally compared against each other. Still, it's the closest thing to a comparative test available in this category. The Beaba Babycook, Kalorik Baby Gourmet, Oxo Tot Baby Food Mill and Boon Mush are named the best baby food makers.

Food Preparation & Storage
by Contributors to ToysRUs.com
Our AssessmentThe Beaba Babycook is the highest-rated baby food maker at ToysRUs.com. The site doesn't organize home essentials into easily browsable categories, however, so it's difficult to get an overview of all baby food making products at once. Other units available include the Baby Brezza One Step Baby Food Maker, Infantino Fresh Squeezed Peppy Puree and Green Sprouts Food Mill, among others.

Home Food Prep
by Contributors to Target.com
Our AssessmentTarget.com offers several products for baby food prep at home, but most receive few or no user reviews. Only the Kidco Babysteps Electric Food Mill gets more than a dozen comments and an average rating of 4.5 stars out of 5. The Baby Bullet, Baby Brezza Food Processor, Beaba Babycook and Infantino Fresh Squeezed Peppy Puree are also available, but don't rate as highly.

Make Your Own Baby Food
by Contributors to OneStepAhead.com
Our AssessmentThis online retailer specializes in baby and toddler products, and it organizes feeding options so shoppers can locate tools for DIY baby food.
