Owners at all the user review sites give the Angelcare Deluxe movement monitor near-perfect scores. The less expensive and less feature-rich Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor (*Est. $85) also does very well in owner-written reviews. Both Angelcare models include a sensor pad that slide under your baby, sounding an alarm if your child has not moved in 20 seconds. This pricier version includes two parent receivers (the cheaper version comes with one), and gets better reviews for clarity. Besides a handful of complaints about the sensor not working properly, reviewers say the main drawback to the Angelcare Deluxe is its high cost. Note, however, that the American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend this type of baby monitor for the vast majority of parents.
The most useful reviews of the Angelcare Deluxe Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor come from owners posting to ratings sites like Amazon.com and Target.com. Amazon.com often has the largest number of consumer posts on baby monitors, but ToysRUs.com takes the lead in this case. Consumer Reports does not include this baby monitor in its latest report.
