Although professional reviewers have good things to say about Evenflo baby monitors in general, owners' opinions of the Whisper Connect are less favorable. Despite winning praise for its clarity and sensitivity, this 49 MHz analog monitor averages low to mediocre ratings on consumer review sites. The Graco UltraClear II (*Est. $40), which includes two receivers, fares better in reviews as the best basic baby monitor.
The popular baby-gear book "Baby Bargains" has excellent coverage of baby monitors including the Evenflo Whisper Connect and Whisper Connect Dual monitors. Owner-written reviews are also a good source of ratings and general information. This model hasn't yet been tested by Consumer Reports magazine.
