The Fisher-Price Sounds ‘n Lights Monitor was once a well-regarded analog baby monitor, in part because of its level of performance for the price. However, reviewers say the Sound 'n Lights is no longer anything special, particularly when better-reviewed baby monitors cost the same. One option is the Graco Ultra Clear II (*Est. $40) but we found the best reviews in this price range for the Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910 (*Est. $40). The basic Fisher-Price baby monitor averages only mediocre scores on user-review sites, with many complaints of static.
The baby-gear book "Baby Bargains" has excellent coverage of the Fisher-Price Sounds ‘n Lights Monitor as part of its informative chapter on baby monitors.
