Graco baby monitors are well-regarded by both experts and owners. In consumer reviews, the UltraClear II earns a high average rating, with many parents giving it a perfect score. Like all analog baby monitors, the Ultra Clear II can be prone to interference from other electronics and from accidental eavesdropping by neighbors who also own baby monitors. For the same price, we found better reviews for the simple Sony BabyCall NTM-910 Nursery Monitor (*Est. $40), which includes 27 channels -- letting you switch channels if you're getting interference. If you live in a congested area or have trouble with static and interference, experts recommend the more expensive Safety 1st High-Def Digital Monitor (*Est. $50) or even better Philips Avent SCD510 DECT (*Est. $110), but if you're not worried about interference or eavesdropping, the Ultra Clear II is considered a good, simple analog baby monitor. It comes with one transmitter and two receiver units.

The Graco Ultra Clear II has not been professionally reviewed at Consumer Reports. Owner-written reviews are relatively sparse for this baby monitor, but enough customers have posted to Amazon.com and Walmart.com to provide a good indication of how the Ultra Clear II stands up in everyday use. The best expert advice comes from "Baby Bargains," an excellent baby gear book by consumer advocates Denise and Allan Fields, which reviews the Graco line of baby monitors.
