Professional reviews for the Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910YLW baby monitor are very good, and owners generally agree. However, this 900 MHz analog monitor is still susceptible to interference and accidental eavesdropping because it operates on the same frequency used by other electronics (like cordless phones) and other baby monitors (which could pick up sound from the Sony monitor). If you want something that prevents accidental eavesdropping and eliminates interference from other electronics, we found the best reviews for the Philips Avent SCD510 DECT Baby Monitor (*Est. $100) which operates on the little-used 1.9 GHz DECT frequency. Still, for the low price and excellent features, reviewers say that the BabyCall is a stellar buy. The 27 channel options mean that users are bound to find one that works with little static in their home. Plus, the model features rechargeable batteries and an out-of-range indicator.

The Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910YLW baby monitor gets good coverage in both professional and owner-written reviews. ConsumerReports.org includes this model in their test-based comparative review, and the baby-gear book "Baby Bargains" devotes a section to Sony's baby monitors as well. There are some good user reviews of the Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910YLW on sites like Epinions.com and Viewpoints.com, but Amazon.com offers by far the best selection with over 800 posts.

1. ConsumerReports.org

In this report, the editors at ConsumerReports.org compare nine audio monitors and three audio/video monitors, and summarize their findings. Monitors were tested for interference, ease of use, battery life and range. Interestingly, editors say parents can consider skipping a baby monitor, especially if the nursery is near the master bedroom, or if a family lives in a smaller sized home. The BabyCall NTM-910 is one of the tested models.
