This positively reviewed pressure-mounted gate is constructed of nylon and mesh rather than the plastic or metal materials common in most baby safety gates. Designed for portability, the Evenfall Soft and Wide Cross-town Gate includes a convenient travel bag. It can fit openings between 38 and 60 inches wide and sits 27 inches tall. Reviewers say this portable gate is convenient for travel. However, the Evenflo has no door, so parents must step over the gate to enter or exit the blocked-off area. Since it's a pressure-mounted gate, the Crosstown isn't suitable for use at the top of the stairs, and we found some reports of its mesh being torn by pets.
