Graco Lovin' Hug Infant Swing

Budget baby swing

Pros
  • Inexpensive
  • 5-point safety harness
  • 30-pound weight limit
Cons
  • Only swings back and forth
  • Distorted nature sounds
  • Noisy motor

The Graco Lovin' Hug is a standard swing that rocks in only one direction; back and forth. The Lovin' Hug takes a back seat to the ultra popular Fisher-Price line of cradle swings that rock in two directions; back and forth and side to side. However, the Lovin' Hug costs significantly less than the Fisher-Price cradle swings, and it is the recipient of many positive reviews. The Lovin' Hug has a few standout features. It includes a five-point harness (a safety feature that full-size Fisher-Price swings do not come with). The harness makes it less likely that active babies will tip forward or shift around. Parents also appreciate that this swing has a weight limit of up to 30 pounds, rather than the industry standard of 25 pounds. Reviewers across the board note the same drawbacks; the unit's nature sounds can get distorted and its noisy motor can irritate baby.

We found a great professional review for the Graco Lovin' Hug in "Baby Bargains," a top baby gear book. A plentiful number of user written reviews for the Lovin' Hug swing can also be found at Amazon.com and Target.com. ExpoTV.com also features a few video reviews posted by parents.
