January 2009. Reviews say the Brome Squirrel Buster Classic is very good at thwarting squirrels although it holds only 1.4 quarts of seed. This plastic tube feeder is 21 inches high and has a wrap-around wire grid designed to drop down and close the seed ports when anything weighing more than four ounces alights on it. Reviews say it works with both red and gray squirrels as well as larger nuisance birds like pigeons. The perches can be removed to select only small, clinging birds, but the Squirrel Buster Classic does not have as many adjustable features as the Brome Squirrel Buster Plus (*est. $75).
Two sources -- Bird-Feeder-And-Bird-House-Guide.com and Squirrelproofer.com -- do a good job at comparing the Squirrel Buster Classic with the Squirrel Buster Plus from Brome.
