The Breville ikon blender is one of the models included in this test of three models. Editors emphasize ice crushing ability here. The Breville "came closest to the real thing" blending frozen margaritas, shaving ice in "Ice Crush" mode and chewing through whole fruit.

Most of the more than 50 consumers at Amazon.com praise the Breville ikon Hemisphere BBL600XL, saying that its ability to crush ice is impressive. They also like its quiet operation and the fact that its jar is dishwasher-safe. As with all blenders, some consumers complain of product failure. Some also feel that the blade assembly is difficult to remove and others complain that the blender leaks.
