Functional but can't give it 5 stars, October 19, 2009
I received this blender as a gift and use it all the time to make frozen drinks. It works really well for the most part and the spout is great. However the spout always seems to clog up with ice and you end of having to pour it like a normal blender.
Great for Slurpees!, March 17, 2009

I own three of these blenders and they're like nothing I've ever used before. The blades make some kind of vortex which mixes and moves everything around so that it all gets blended smoothly (no ice chunks). It is loud, but seems plenty powerful. It's the only blender I've ever used that I haven't had to get out the long spoon and push and move chunks around to get it mixed properly. I haven't tried to make a thick milkshake with it, so I can't vouch for that, but if you're looking for something to make your own slurpees, you'll love this!

RAVE FOR THE WAVE!!!, October 22, 2008

I FOUND MINE AT THE LOCAL DOLLAR GENERAL STORE. COULDN'T CRUSH ICE WITH MY STANDARD BLENDER TO MAKE MARGARITAS, AND HAPPENED ONTO THIS. SAID IT COULD CRUSH ICE AND IT DOES! TWO SETS OF STEEL BLADES ARE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL, ALLOWING FOR EASY CRUSHING AND ROTATION OF THE ICE, IT KEEPS THINGS MOVING AND WON'T JAM. I'VE ENJOYED MAKING MARGARITAS FOR MYSELF, AND THE KIDS WENT CRAZY OVER THE SMOOTHIES I MADE WITH IT. WITH ALL INGREDIENTS AT THE READY, I MADE A PITCHER OF MARGARITAS IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! IT'S EASY TO CLEAN AND IS ATTRACTIVE AND WELL MADE. I LOVE THE SPIGOT FEATURE, IT PROVIDES EASY DISPENSING AND THE LARGE PITCHER HOLDS A LOT OF DRINK. TOSS IN SOME FRUIT, FRUIT JUICE AND VEGGIES AND MAKE YOUR OWN HEALTH DRINKS!OR ADD MILK, ICE CREAM AND SYRUP FOR A THICK SHAKE. COULD PROBABLY EVEN MAKE SLUSHIES WITH THE PROPER SYRUPS. NO ICE CHUNKS,JUST SMOOTH SLUSH! I'VE BEEN LUCKY WITH MY WAVE, AND I'M BUYING SEVERAL FOR MY OLDER KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS.

Great little Margarita maker , September 8, 2008

I bought this at an end of summer sale blow out ...really cheap but must say so far so good! Makes better frozen drinks than our Oster which was about 3 times the price of this. This totally crushes ice cubes and makes the beverages nice and slushy. Although, dispensing can be tricky. When the liquids are very thick the blender must be on in the dispense mode to get it to come out and sometimes there's dripping but a little cup under the dispenser solves that easily. Over all very happy! It's MUCH smaller and CHEAPER than the "Margarators" & "Margaritavilles" that came out recently. Those are definitely over kill unless you own an actual bar. This was a great buy for us!

POOR PERFORMANCE, July 16, 2008

I bought this at WalMart for $18.94. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true with this model. The spout and the fact that the box showed how easily it would be to make crushed ice drinks and to NOT have to use a spoon to push the items down into the blade was great selling points; however after just two times of making simple milkshakes, I am returning this to the store and getting a kitchen aid, or other more powerful unit. It is very loud and it would only liquify the ice cream (with milk added) with prodding...and a wooden spoon forcing it down. It took way too long. I haven't been able to use the spout as the milkshakes must have been too thick, although my kids had no problem using a staw, so it wasn't that thick. Another drawback is that the cord is way too short. You have to be pretty close to the outlet which was not convenient. A few more inches would have been nice.
