- The MegaMix's 1-horsepower motor is designed to run faster than other blenders and slash processing time.
- The Mega Mix is more expensive than most other blenders
The most credible professional reviews say that the Mega Mix does a good job crushing ice and making frozen drinks. Its performance on other tasks, including puréeing and grinding, is about average. Owners report, however, that the 48-ounce polycarbonate container doesn't hold up, and owners and professional testers agree that this is one very loud machine.
Reviews of this blender have appeared in Consumer Reports and Cook's Illustrated. In addition, a small number of owner-written reviews have been posted to Amazon.com and Epinions.com.
