Always shopping for gifts at the last minute? We've already covered the ways that you can order and send gifts via social media, but what could be easier than doing the same on your smartphone or tablet? Here are 4 apps that will help you get gifts on time, even if you procrastinate.
Giftly (free for iPhone, also available as mobile web app)
Giftly is an app that basically acts as a universal gift card. For example, you can get a Giftly for your friend's favorite restaurant, store or movie theater. You just choose the amount and the location (it can be anywhere, not just a chain.) Giftlys are delivered via text, Facebook, email or snail mail. The only catch is that the recipient must pay upfront and then Giftly credits the correct amount back to a credit card or Paypal account.
Instawish allows you to create and share wish lists via Facebook. You can tag items at your favorite online or physical stores and share your wish lists with Facebook friends. You can also use the app as a gift registry and mark items as "purchased" to prevent others from buying them.
Wish (free for iPhone, Android)
Wish also allows you to create universal wish lists, but you can also unlock deals while you're at it. Once you start adding products to your list, the app will help you find the best deals and notify you as soon as a deal is available. You can checkout directly via the app.
Wrapp (free for iPhone, Android)
Wrapp allows you to send gift cards to your Facebook friends. The process is simple: after connecting to Facebook, you select a friend and then choose a gift card, such as from Sephora, H&M, Gap, Banana Republic and other well-known brands. The app offers a limited number of free gift cards each day.
