Last week we attended the press preview for the International Home and Housewares Show. The show, which we will be attending (stayed tuned for blogs and video coverage), takes place in Chicago from March 10th-13th. At the preview we got a sneak peak of some interesting new product launches, below are a few noteworthy ones.
The Grill Station 5 Burner Outdoor Gas Grill from Hamilton Beach is the company's first foray into the outdoor grill market. The Grill Station comes loaded with features like a wood-chip drawer with flame control, cooking baskets and a side burner.
Hamilton Beach Grill Station 5 Burner Outdoor Gas Grill (model 84241); $529.99 available for pre-order on Sears.com.
The Trap Door Colander by Farberware, another fun find, falls into the "hard to believe no one thought of this before" category. It functions pretty much as the name describes: instead of pouring your pasta or veggies from the colander to a bowl, you simply hold the colander over a bowl and pull a lever to release. The company even produced a video for the launch:
Farberware Trap Door Colander; $14.99 in stores this summer.
There were lots of fun kitchen gadget introductions as well. Ranging from the super cute Kizmos Get Happy Measuring Cups (below) to the more utilitarian folding dish racks and hands-free soap dispensers.
One thing we'll have to wait until the show to see is the new line of cookware from Guy Fieri, the host of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network. We can't wait to report on this unveiling as well as many other new introductions.
