Ninja blender

Mixers, vacuums and blenders, oh my! Finding the best home appliance deals any day of the year can be a tricky task--on Black Friday, it's just downright daunting. Fret no more! We've done the research for you to help eliminate some of the guesswork.

This year, the "deals" are pretty underwhelming. Tempting though they may be, try to avoid the door buster appliances like the $3.88 hand mixer at Walmart. And don't give in to the $8 toaster at Target. If kitchen gadgets are really on your list, spring for quality. Even if it's a bit more expensive, it'll last longer and the recipient will thank you. Your best strategy for kitchen and home appliances this season, is to snag them at the stores where you already plan to shop.

Mixers. Always a big hit and an equally big-ticket item during the holidays, the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer can be found at Macy's, Kohl's and Sears for $320--about $30 less than the usual price.

Vacuums. If a Dyson vacuum cleaner is on your list, don't go out of your way to find the "best" bargain. Sale prices are about on par with every other store. The Dyson DC41, for example, is $449 at Walmart, Target, Sears and JCPenney.

Blenders. If a blender is a must-have item, two good buys are the Ninja Master Prep ($29 at Target) and the Hamilton Beach Single-Serve Blender ($10 at Sears).

In the past, some stores have offered gift card and coupon incentives. And this year is no exception. Target is offering a free $10 gift card with any $50 home purchase. For every $50 spent at Kohl's, you'll receive $15 in Kohl's Cash. The Macy's ad includes a $10 coupon for any purchase of $25 or more. With these offers come plenty of fine print stipulations. So if you plan to include these incentives in your bargain-hunting strategy, be sure to account for any redemption times, dates and exclusions.
