From basic brewers to single cup models, this year Black Friday circulars are filled with coffee makers. There are some great deals to be had on basic and programmable models and then there are some not so great deals (or at least not so great sale prices) on truly stand out coffee makers.
Two of our best reviewed models, The Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 and the Keurig B60 Special Edition Coffee Brewer, appear in the Kohl's black Friday circular with advertised sale prices of $79.99 and $149.99 respectively. While these are discounts off the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), you can find these machines on sale for these prices all year long--almost all retailers discount the MSRP as a matter of course.
Most coffee makers featured in Black Friday sales don't make our best reviewed, but if you're looking for a good deal on a new brewer, you might consider one of these models, all of which get relatively good user reviews:
Black & Decker 12-cup Coffee Maker, $17.99 at Kohl's. The machine is programmable, has a pause and brew feature and usually retails for about $40.
Cuisinart FlavorBrew 12-Cup Coffee Maker, $29.99 at Best Buy. The programmable machine usually retails for about $50, features pause and brew and comes with gold tone filter.
Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, $19.88 with mail in rebate at JC Penney. This machine is also featured in the Best Buy circular but the $29.99 "sale" price is closer to the regular year-round price.
Cuisinart Grind and Brew, $69.88 at JC Penney. This model typically retails for about $110 so the sale price at JC Penney is a good one. Buyer beware: this is a discontinued model and we did see some reports of problems with cleaning the grinder, overall owners like the machine though.
