If you're in the market for a low-end digital photo frame, Kmart has a decent doorbuster deal for you on the 7-inch Coby DP702. Currently selling for $50 on Kmart.com and between $40 and $50 elsewhere online, the Coby DP702 will go for just $30 the day after Thanksgiving, according to Kmart's leaked Black Friday circular. For such an affordable frame, the DP702 has a lot of features, including an MP3 player, video playback and a whopping 1GB of onboard storage -- that's more than any of our best reviewed digital picture frames. The Coby DP702 has a wood frame and accepts a number of memory formats including SD, MMC, CF, MS and xD memory cards and USB keys. This doorbuster is a good deal, especially if you're already planning a trip to Kmart on Black Friday.
Professional reviews of this digital picture frame are non-existent, but there are a good number of user reviews posted at Amazon.com and few other sites. At Amazon, over thirty reviewers give it an average score of 3 out of 5 stars. Reviewers say it's stylish-looking and easy to set up and use, though picture quality isn't pristine. Some users find the Coby DP702's menus a bit confusing. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for - an inexpensive, basic frame. Be warned that all Coby digital picture frames have just a 90-day warranty.
If you're looking for better picture quality, wireless connectivity or other high-end features, you'll have to spend more. The Kodak EasyShare W820 is a good wireless pick that's not too expensive and offers good image quality. Our top pick overall, the Sony DPF-80 (*Est. $130) is pricey, but offers excellent image quality and is very easy to use, though it doesn't have wireless or other premium features. We'll keep an eye out for doorbusters on our best-reviewed digital picture frames. In the meantime, check out our digital photo frame report for more buying advice.
