
A couple weeks ago, we posted photos of a mystery gadget on our Facebook page, asking readers for their guesses as to what it was. "It" turned out to be a Micro Chip Crisp'r (*Est. $6), a plastic gadget to make your own potato chips in the microwave.
We got plenty of oddball replies. Many people thought it had something to do with bundt cakes; a couple readers thought it was a U.F.O., while a few others suggested devices that we can't discuss on a family-oriented website like ConsumerSearch.
Strangely, almost no one asked if the darn thing even worked. So we decided to put it to the test.
