Buying a treadmill could be on your list of end of year purchases but Black Friday isn't necessarily the day to do it. After looking at the circulars from Dick's Sporting Goods, Kmart, Modell's, Sears and Sports Authority, our advice is to skip the Black Friday sprint and run your favorite route instead.
While there are Best Reviewed models from our soon-to-be-released report being advertised for Black Friday--the best overall treadmill, the Sole F80, at Sears and the best treadmill for the casual runner, ProForm Power 995, at Sports Authority-- the truth is their price tags are not worth the effort. In both cases the "deal" is being offered now (with the exception of an $100 Sears gift card that is offered with the Sole). And if you factor in shipping, sites such as Amazon.com and HSN.com offer these models at the same price but their free shipping makes shopping with them the better deal.
