An old fashioned icon goes modern: Salvation Army bell ringers aren't just looking for spare change. Now they can let you charge it. As reported on Consumerist.org, some kettles now have a card swiper next to them. A test program in Dallas and Denver last year was a success, so now 120 other cities will get the modern kettles.
