Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart's leaked Black Friday circular is now posted -- and if you've been following this stuff, you'll see it's chock full of deals that trump pretty much everyone else so far. We'll be posting more in the coming days, but here's a quick preview...

  • 8-inch digital picture frame for $30. Best Buy, Target and others are offering 7-inch frames for the same price, so this is a much better deal.
  • $60 TomTom GPS. This undercuts deals at Target, Sears and Best Buy. This model is strictly entry-level, but it's a good $30 cheaper than similar models at other stores.
  • Finally, a low-end Blu-ray player for $80. This might be the best deal in the whole Wal-Mart circular. But be prepared to get to Wal-Mart at 5:00 a.m. to snag this Magnavox player. We've hardly seen any Blu-ray players offered for less than $150.
  • Brother sewing machine for $50. We've seen cheap sewing machines at Sears and Jo-Ann, but not this cheap. Plus Brother machines have better reputations than Kenmore or Singer.
Deals on LCD TVs and laptops look very competitive and often better than what we're seeing at Best Buy, but we'll be posting separately on those deals -- there's a lot to write about!
