Apple's app store

Recently, I received a pitch about an iPhone app for flooring. Yes, flooring. It's called "Floor Finder" and that's literally what it helps you do. While I've never purchased flooring in my life, I imagine shopping for it is difficult to do online - and even more difficult to do on an iPhone screen. (ConsumerSearch does have a flooring report though, if you're interested.)

There are multitudes of "weird iPhone app" lists out there, but I'd like to find out who is actually using these strange apps. As he demonstrated at CES, David Pogue loves his Ocarina (sometimes called iFlute) app, that turns your iPhone into a wind instrument. (Admittedly the demo was cool, but it's still a weird app.)

That's where you readers come in. What are some of your favorite, yet strange, silly or stupid apps? Do you like to browse flooring on your phone? Do you giggle every time you fire up the iFart app? What about odd, but compelling games? Leave your comments below and we'll compile them into a future blog post where we'll also reveal the ConsumerSearch staff favorites. Don't be ashamed!
