The LG Super Blu BH200 is the only disc player that will let owners play back both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs on a single unit. The player is not quirk free, however. Performance in terms of load time and handling of most interactive features is acceptable, but the player doesn't conform to either the BonusView or BD-Live Blu-ray profiles. Support for high-definition audio is spotty at best. If you want support for all disc formats in one machine, the BH200 is the only choice. But if you don't already own a substantial library of discs in the defunct HD DVD format, other Blu-ray players, including the Sony PlayStation 3 (*est. $400), provide better performance at the same or lower cost.

The most complete report on the LG Super Blu BH200 can be read at Ultimate AV magazine, but may provide a bit of information overload for non-techies. The reports at Sound & Vision and PC Magazine aren't as detailed, but still provide plenty of information for most buyers.

PC Magazine's review of the LG BH200 Super Blu isn't as detailed as some we've seen at other sites, but it does a good job in providing essential guidance without burying the reader in information overload. The BH200 isn't one of the editor's' top picks, but despite some quirks, it scores well for buyers who want to view HD DVD and Blu-ray discs with one unit.
