Though it is not the least expensive Blu-ray Disc player available, the Panasonic DMP-BDT110 is judged a standout among budget choices for its 3D capabilities (a rarity in budget Blu-ray players), extensive feature lineup and fast performance. Image quality stands up well even when compared with players that cost more. Disc load speeds are lightning fast -- among the quickest of any Blu-ray Disc player at any price.
In terms of features, Wi-Fi capabilities must be added via an optional adapter (*Est. $80), but there's little else that's not in there. That said, if Wi-Fi is a must, some might find the step-up Panasonic DMP-BDT210 (*Est. $150) to be more worthwhile. Otherwise, the DMP-BDT110 delivers all of the performance and most of the features of Panasonic's step-up 3D Blu-ray Disc player, though at a lower cost.
Picture quality is generally judged as excellent, especially for a Blu-ray player in this price range. As noted, 3D is among the DMP-BDT110's feature set, as is 2D to 3D conversion. Internet streaming via the Ethernet or the optional Wi-Fi adapter is available from a decent assortment of content providers, though some manufacturers provide more. Other nice and even surprising extras for the price include Skype support, DLNA support for streaming content from a networked computer and an app that transforms your iPhone into a remote control for the DMP-BDT110.
The Panasonic DMP-BDT110 has been well reviewed for a budget Blu-ray player. BigPictureBigSound.com, About.com and Britain's TrustedReviews.com all offer in-depth looks at this 3D Blu-ray player. ConsumerReports.org offers its take in the form of a rating and ranking, but lacks detailed commentary. Consumer reviews at Amazon.com and BestBuy.com are plentiful and generally positive.

Impatient Blu-ray fans with shaky attention spans should check out Panasonic's DMP-BDT110, reviewer Rachel Cericola says -- the lightning-fast menus and disc loading speeds can't be beat. Both 2D and 3D images are handled "very nicely," as is DVD upconversion "For those worried about taking the 3D plunge, Panasonic is a real blessing," Cericola says, especially given the advanced feature list.

This British site calls the Panasonic DMP-BDT110 "a vast improvement on Panasonic's previous 3D-capable Blu-ray players." Picture quality is first-rate regardless of the format, reviewer Danny Phillips says. Fast disc loading times, abundant features and the player's simple interface are singled out as highlights. "With such a generous feature list you really are getting a lot for 150 quid," Phillips says in his closing verdict, before awarding the DMP-BDT110 a 9 out of 10 rating. While the version of the DMP-BDT110 tested here differs slightly from the one sold in the United States, performance should be similar.

3. About.com
Subtitled "The Little Blu-ray Disc Player with a Lot Under the Hood," Robert Silva says Panasonic's DMP-BDT110 does a bang-up job of displaying 2D Blu-Ray discs and a very good job at 3D, especially "in terms of detail, color, contrast, and black levels." Audio performance is also excellent, Silva notes. He appreciates that Panasonic's Viera Cast streaming Internet content is included with the budget player, but misses a component video output and calls the 2D to 3D conversion ineffective. In the end, Silva awards the DMP-BDT110 a 4-star rating. (Note: ConsumerSearch is owned by About.com, but the two don't share an editorial affiliation.)

5. Amazon.com
Though most owners posting here are pleased with the Panasonic DMP-BDT110, the overall score is dragged down by those complaining about a Netflix bug that's since been fixed via a firmware update or saying that they didn't realize that Wi-Fi required an extra-cost adapter. Others are happy with the player, its performance and its features.

6. BestBuy.com
The Panasonic DMP-BDT110 has less feedback here than at Amazon.com, but the level of satisfaction is a bit higher. The majority say they are happy -- or mostly so -- with the performance and features, and 90 percent say they would recommend the Blu-ray Disc player to a friend. The 2D to 3D conversion is singled out as a weak point in multiple reviews.
