Reviewers agree that the Plantronics Voyager Pro Bluetooth headset does an outstanding job of canceling ambient noise, outperforming much of the competition. The Aliph Jawbone Icon (*Est. $50) is more effective at blocking out wind, but the Voyager Pro beeps to alert you when wind is interfering with a conversation so you can turn your head away from it. Battery tests at PCMag.com yield a decent six and a half hours of talk time. Though comfortable, the Voyager Pro has a bulky battery housing that hangs over your ear and a boom microphone that some say makes you look like an operator. A smaller and more stylish option is the Jawbone Icon.
Review sites that focus on the newest gadgets, such as CNET, give a comprehensive review of the Plantronics Voyager Pro Bluetooth headset. PC World includes it in a roundup of 10 Bluetooth headsets, and Laptop Magazine provides good feedback. There are a large number of user reviews on Amazon.com, which give some useful input from owners.
