I bought this machine in September of 2012 (yes I waited over a year to review it) and must say it a little powerhouse. Mine sees use at least once a week, sometimes three to four times. The bread making functions are easy to use and it bakes lovely loaves consistently. The dough function is amazing, able to knock out anything from dinner rolls to stromboli dough without batting an eye. Sarah Esparza, Amazon.com
Stellar - This workhorse turns out great bread for years, even with heavy use.
Simple - Resist the urge to intervene with a spatula during mixing; it's not necessary.
Not Too Shabby - A square, white appliance, it's nothing special to look at, but not offensive.
As Expected - Add-ingredient and finished-baking beeps are loud, especially if you're making bread overnight.
The Oster Expressbake offers eight menu settings and three crust shades to make a variety of breads, dough, and jams. With the Expressbake setting, simply add ingredients and walk away for fresh-baked bread in less than two hours. Excess flour accumulates in the corners of the pan during the initial mixing cycle, but it fully incorporates all ingredients by the end of the cycle without intervention.
It's not obtrusive on the countertop and will last for several years of daily use. Oster honors the one-year warranty and is accommodating in the rare case of a defect. Amazon reviewers have mixed success with gluten-free breads.
