User-reviewers seem puzzled by the movable handlebars on the Gold's Gym CrossWalk 570, and one expert reviewer suggests that this concept "works much better on an elliptical trainer." However, the same expert says the CrossWalk 570 has some decent features and, although it's certainly not a running treadmill, may be decent for walking. Durability seems to be the primary user complaint, which is to be expected in the budget treadmill range. Owner reviews are generally positive, but not fully satisfied.
Like most low-cost treadmills, the Gold's Gym CrossWalk 570 doesn't get much scrutiny from expert reviewers. Yet even the limited attention it has received, with reviews from ConsumerReports.org and Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com, is somewhat of a coup given its price range. The 4.1-star average rating from nearly 150 reviewers on Walmart.com gives this model a solid positive recommendation. The same owners introduce predictable concerns about build quality and durability.

2. Walmart.com
The Gold's Gym CrossWalk 570 receives mostly positive reviews from almost 150 owners for an average rating of 4.1 out of 5 stars. But even positive comments are often qualified with reports that some features work poorly, if at all; one reviewer says the LCD screens flickered since assembly and gave out completely after just a quarter-mile of use, and the handgrip heart-rate monitor never worked. Another says, "I do not understand the ski type arms on here," then explains that she parks them in the upright position and ignores them.

This review by industry insider Fred Waters acknowledges that the CrossWalk 570 gets generally positive user reviews and can be a decent walking treadmill. It's also basically the same machine as the Gold's Gym Maxx CrossWalk 650. However, Waters says that because this isn't a high-end treadmill, "it could end up having lots of maintenance issues and a very brief lifespan."
