Most users are happy with the Stamina InMotion II as a lightweight, compact treadmill for occasional workouts; those who were hoping for a machine that can withstand heavy use end up disappointed. The InMotion II is noisier than other manual treadmills, and the belt tends to slip back and forth when you first set it up. However, users report that with heavy silicone lubrication and a few adjustments, the belt usually settles down. Long-legged users may feel cramped on this treadmill's 41-inch-long deck, even at a walk, and the unit's constant incline forces you to grasp the handlebars. You also need the handrails for leverage; since the InMotion II doesn't have a motor, you must push the belt back with every step.

Most experts don't recommend or even bother to review manual treadmills, and the few that do have nothing positive to say. User reviews on Amazon.com and Walgreens.com, however, say this lightweight, compact and inexpensive model fits their needs. Cheapism.com suggests the Stamina InMotion II may be useful to some, but points out that it's subject to the typical problems of any budget treadmill as well as those of a manual unit, such as difficulty keeping the belt moving smoothly. Bestcovery.com picks the InMotion II as its favorite manual treadmill, but there's no mention of any hands-on testing or why it was chosen.

1. Amazon.com

More than 100 users review the Stamina InMotion II. Most of the positive feedback comes from owners who purchased this treadmill for light, casual use; they comment on its value, fast and easy assembly, and how small, light and easy to move around it is. Besides complaints about flimsy components and wobbliness -- which are to be expected from any bargain treadmill, especially one that costs less than $200 -- most gripes about this unit come from users who expected to be able to run on it.
