Though a few full-featured choices remain, many SD camcorders are now aimed more at easy use or capturing footage for the Internet than creating high-quality videos people will treasure for a lifetime. Even if you have no have no interest in high definition, HD camcorders have quickly taken over as the best option for capturing quality video. HD camcorders still cost more than SD, but the gap is closing.
