Reviewers say the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless S3765-040 canister vacuum offers excellent performance for its price. This canister vac does a good job cleaning carpets and bare floors, and it also has low emissions. However, both owners and experts say it's slightly heavier and harder to maneuver than some other canister vacuums, and it lacks manual pile-height adjustment. Some find it noisier than others. Still, reviews say this Hoover canister vacuum is hard to beat for the price. If you can spend more, the Miele S4212 Polaris (*Est. $400) is quieter and weighs just 14 pounds, but it costs twice as much and lacks a powered brushroll.

We found the best review of the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless S3765-040 canister vacuum at ConsumerReports.org, which includes this vacuum in its recent roundup of 22 canister vacs (in which models are tested over hard floors and carpeting). The WindTunnel Bagless S3765-040 also receives plenty of reviews from hundreds of owners posting to Amazon.com. ConsumerGuide.com and VacuumCritic.com both have editorial reviews, but neither cites testing to back up their analysis.
