One of the top stroller features parents look for is an easy fold. Graco's FastAction Fold delivers in that regard, but doesn't have much else to recommend it. The stroller only pushes well on smooth surfaces and its convenience features aren't particularly convenient. It can be purchased with any of the Graco SnugRide infant car seats; prices vary depending on the combination.
Safe for babies to toddlers. The Graco FastAction Fold travel system has good safety features, including a padded, adjustable five-point harness that converts to a three-point harness for older children. Its one-touch brakes are linked, but the front swivel wheels don't lock for greater stability. The included car seat base has a level indicator to help with proper installation, and an audible "snap" indicates the car seat is latched securely on the stroller. The child's tray provides an extra level of protection.
One of the easiest folds. This stroller isn't called the FastAction Fold for nothing. Folding it is as easy as grabbing a handle on the seat and lifting. It automatically locks when folded, but does take two hands to unfold. The stroller doesn't get good reviews for easy pushing, however, with reviewers saying it works well only on very smooth surfaces like linoleum floors. The harness straps on both the stroller and car seat are front-adjustable, no rethread. A car seat base comes with the set, and the Graco SnugRide infant car seat moves easily between stroller and base. The pivoting/removable child's tray makes child access easy.
At 22 pounds, the FastAction Fold isn't as heavy as some comparable strollers. Yet it's not a lightweight stroller by any means, so it may be difficult for some to lift and carry.
Lots of mediocre features. Parents do like an easy fold, but they also appreciate a generous canopy and underseat storage, and a secure cup holder. The canopy on the Graco FastAction Fold is called "skimpy" by more than one reviewer, and a top user complaint is that even water bottles fall out of the cup holders with the slightest movement. A number of owners add that the basket is small and hard to access, and the stroller's handles aren't adjustable.
The FastAction Fold accommodates infants from birth without the car seat, and then up to 50 pounds. However, several reviewers say the stroller's head support is inadequate for their babies and they had to buy an insert. Like most travel systems, this one is bulky when folded and takes up plenty of room in the trunk, owners say.
The Graco FastAction Fold is a highly affordable travel system. Usually available for less than $180 with the SnugRide 30 infant car seat, it's even less with the SnugRide infant car seat with an upper weight rating of 22 pounds. If you're on a tight budget, want lots of features and don't mind if they're a bit flimsy, this system has a great cost of ownership.
One-year limited warranty. Graco is renowned for its responsive customer service. A few owners who had various issues with the FastAction Fold say the manufacturer replaced their products immediately.
Review Credibility: Excellent The Graco FastAction Fold travel system is included in this roundup of 19 of the top baby strollers of 2012, but receives just 3 stars out of 5. Bayless says the stroller has a great fold and convenience features, but she doesn't like its cup holders or canopy. A parent tester says it's easy to use and she loves how high her child sits, but it doesn't do well on bumpy sidewalks, and the cup holders and storage basket are inadequate.

Review Credibility: Very Good About 30 reviewers give the Graco FastAction Fold travel system an average rating of 4.2 stars out of 5. Owners love its easy fold and say it pushes nicely. However, virtually all of them pan the small basket that's difficult to access. A number of users add that they had to purchase additional head support for the car seat so it fit their infants more snugly.
