The Hoover SteamVac All Terrain F7452-900 is a combination carpet cleaner/hard floor cleaner with a built-in heater and automatic rinsing. It has rotating brushes, a 12 amp motor and a 13-inch wide cleaning path with edge-cleaning capability. While the majority of owner reviews for the Hoover SteamVac All Terrain are positive, citing its effective cleaning performance, there are also an unusually large number of complaints about plastic parts breaking. In some cases, the damage was only cosmetic, but others reported cracked, leaking water tanks and broken sprayers. The Hoover SteamVac with Clean Surge F5914-900 (*Est. $150) receives fewer such complaints and more consistently positive reviews. While this model is not sold for use on hard flooring, owners say it works quite well for this purpose.

The Hoover SteamVac All Terrain F7452-900 receives a Best Buy award from ConsumerGuide.com; there are also numerous user reviews for this carpet cleaner at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, Epinions.com, Lowes.com and HSN.com.
