Great Product , October 14, 2008
I have a 10 year old male cat that would not use his litter box half the time. I gave Cat Attract a try. What can I say, it worked...so far anyway. It's been about two weeks and he is using the litter box all the time now. It's not cheep but it is worth it.
Couldn't be more pleased, September 2, 2008

Regarding a review suggesting the higher ratings of this product may be that of the maker's stock holders....I would like to make clear we have no association with this product. Secondly, I was just comparing prices as I did not purchase this through Amazon but through a local source and have been so pleased I decided to write a review. Although skeptical since we had tried everything...I mean literally everything trying to get our cat to use the litter box instead of marking on our hardwood floors and furniture. Talking with our vet about this, she recommended Cat Attract. Said she had the same problem with one of her cats. Just refused to use the normal available litter. So, my wife was climbing the wall trying to get rid of the odor...I assume everybody knows what I mean. Granted the price is a bit steep. I can't say what the referenced reviewer's particular problem is but I can say unequivocally this stuff works...at least it certainly does for our cat. Don't know what's in this stuff but she took to it immediately and has not one time failed to use it. I will add for those who may not be aware...these covered litter boxes are not good. Cats will rarely use them. They like open boxes. They do not like to smell their own odor. I know that may sound strange but that's what our vet told us. Also, find a quiet place away from traffic. Bottom line is we had already tried all of the things suggested and nothing worked until we tried this. At any rate I would say if you are having this problem it certainly is worth a try. Better than scrubbing the floors or furniture and the oder still there.

I wanted this to work so badly...., August 27, 2008

I have two cats. The female is 7 and the male is 5. For the past 4 months or so, the female has been peeing out side of the litter box. (Not all over the house, just on the mat outside the box.) The litter didn't work. Don't get me wrong - the male cat came over and started rubbing himself against the bag of litter. He loved it. It just attracted the wrong cat - - ha ha. I even bought the Cat Attract that you sprinkle in yourself, thinking maybe the original wasn't strong enough for my stubborn cat. No dice. BUT- I'm giving it 3 stars because I do believe SOME cats are indeed attracted to it. Too bad it wasn't my female cat!

Save my apartment and the cat, September 20, 2007

I foster a street cat which was recently rescued and spayed. She has some health issue, and mental stress for being through a lot recently. She refused to use litter box, and make a mess everywhere in my apartment. So I decided to get Dr. Elsey's per the review in Amazon. The moment I pulled this litter into the box, she jumped right in and peed in it. It is amazing. She now learns to use litter box, a blessing for both me and her. It has good odor control and trace almost no dust.

Can't I give it zero stars instead of one star???, September 8, 2007

Nasty stuff for the humans (sticky gooey mess at the point where clumps form against the sides of the box), and doesn't attract my cats in any way. One cat ALWAYS uses his litter, so he continues using this too, but the odd thing was that he ALWAYS just cannot WAIT to make his mark in every freshly changed litter box and yet he was COMPLETELY UNINTERESTED in marking this new litter, until later that night when it was time for him to "go". The PROBLEM cat, on the other hand, didn't use this litter ANY more than he'd been using the old litter. Makes ya wonder whether the glowing reviews come from the company's stockholders.

At the very end of an update to her veterinary blog, Lisa Pierson recommends Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Attract for cats that don't always use their litter box. Earlier in the update, Pierson compares two cat litters in depth: the biodegradable World's Best Cat Litter and the clumping-clay Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra.

3. PetSmart.com

PetSmart doesn't sell a huge variety of cat litter brands, but it covers the major brands and allows customers to post reviews. Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Attract does especially well here, with high ratings from nearly 50 posters. A few owners say it is too expensive, however.
