Like the Motorola C139 (*est. $10), the Motorola W175g is one of the cheapest phones in the TracFone lineup, and it is similar in design and functionality. The pocket-sized W175g measures 4.45 inches by 1.65 inches by 0.55 inches and weighs just under 3 ounces -- a tad longer but otherwise smaller and lighter. It also has more rounded edges and a curvier keypad, although both phones feature iTap predictive text. Another slight difference exists between the displays: The C139 has a beefier 128-by-160-pixel screen, while the W175g has a lower 128-by-128-pixel resolution.

The W175g, like most Motorola devices, delivers high-quality calls thanks to CrystalTalk Voice Enhancement, a technology that creates natural-sounding voices and clear ringtones, even in noisy environments. Blair Mathis of Associated Content considers noteworthy the W175g's FM radio, speakerphone and phone book capacity of 500 contacts -- five times the entry space afforded by the C139. It also has voicemail, call waiting, caller ID, text messaging, 35 ringtones and an alarm clock, but it lacks the multilingual support and games available on the C139. Even with the minor trade-offs, reviewers and users agree that W175g rivals the C139 as a great talk-only phone.

Expert and user reviews for the Motorola W175g are limited, with one standalone write-up at Associated Content and several user reviewers at PhoneScoop.com.
