With a 16.1-megapixel resolution, 3-inch LCD touchscreen and 4x optical zoom, reviewers say the bargain-priced Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T110 produces quality still images and HD video. Reviewers like PJ Jacobowitz of PCMag.com praise its "chic" design and fairly responsive touchscreen. The compact camera, with a 4x zoom lens that remains inside the body, also is popular with Amazon.com users who say the camera easily slips into a pocket.
Image quality is "great," Jacobowitz says, and the T110 has "good low light performance for a point and shoot camera," with minimal noise up to and including ISO 800. The user interface proves responsive and easy to use, with straightforward menus. Downloading photos from the camera proves trickier as the camera doesn't have a mini-USB port; it uses a proprietary port and cable to connect to both your computer and TV. Other drawbacks are minor, Jacobwitz says, including a 3-inch LCD that displays images at 2.5 inches when shooting at full resolution. "Otherwise, though, the T110 is a solid, affordable touch-screen camera," he says.
Expert reviews for this low-budget model are limited. PCMag.com puts the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T110 through a series of lab tests using Imatest.com to "objectively measure image quality." About a dozen owners of the T110 posted customer reviews on Amazon.com, with the camera earning a 5-star rating from most customers and no ratings below 3 stars.
